These are GTA 5 story mode cheats, not GTA 6 cheats — no GTA 6 cheats are known before its November 19, 2026 launch. In GTA 5 you can enter cheats as button combos on PlayStation and Xbox, or dial them on the in-game phone. Cheats disable trophies and achievements for that session and don't work in GTA Online.
- GTA 5 only — no GTA 6 cheat codes are known yet
- Enter as a button combo or dial the number on the in-game phone
- Cheats block trophies/achievements for that session and don't work in GTA Online
Important: everything on this page is for GTA 5 (Grand Theft Auto V) story mode on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. These are not GTA 6 cheats. No GTA 6 cheat codes are known before release, and we won't list any until they're confirmed after launch.
How to enter GTA 5 cheats
- Button combos: during normal gameplay in story mode, enter the sequence on your controller. Directions (Left, Right, Down) are on the d-pad. Enter it fairly quickly — pausing between buttons can make it fail.
- Phone numbers: take out the in-game phone, open the dial pad from Contacts, type the number and call it. Phone numbers are the same on PlayStation and Xbox.
- Things to know: using a cheat disables trophies and achievements for that session (restart the game to re-enable them). Cheats don't save, so you have to enter them again after loading. Cheats may not work during some missions. Cheats don't work in GTA Online, and there is no money cheat.

How we checked these codes
Every code above appears in at least two of the sources listed on this page. Where sources disagreed — for example, one list repeated the BMX code for the Sanchez on PlayStation, and another had a wrong digit in the Lower Wanted Level number — we kept the version that two sources agreed on. One phone number with inconsistent descriptions across sources was left out.
What about GTA 6 cheats?
Rockstar hasn't said whether GTA 6 has cheats, how they'd be entered, or whether they'd work with trophies and achievements. GTA 6 releases on November 19, 2026, and we'll only publish GTA 6 cheats once they've been confirmed in the actual game.
FAQ
Do these cheats work in GTA 6?+
No. These are GTA 5 codes. Rockstar hasn't revealed whether GTA 6 has cheats at all, and any "GTA 6 cheat code" you see before launch is made up.
Do GTA 5 cheats disable trophies and achievements?+
Yes. Once you use a cheat, trophies and achievements are disabled for that play session. Fully quit and restart the game to earn them again.
Can you use cheats in GTA Online?+
No. Cheats only work in GTA 5's single-player story mode.
Is there a money cheat in GTA 5?+
No. GTA 5 has no cheat for cash.
Why didn't my cheat work?+
Check that you're in story mode and not in a mission that blocks cheats, enter the buttons quickly without pausing, and double-check the phone number digits. Cheats also need to be re-entered after you reload the game.
