PS5 and PS5 Pro
GTA 6 is a PS5 game, and the PlayStation Store listing marks it as PS5 Pro Enhanced. Sony and Rockstar haven't explained what that enhancement includes, such as resolution or frame-rate modes, so we aren't listing any. A standard PS5 runs the same game; the Pro badge only means extra improvements of some kind are planned for that hardware.
Xbox Series X and Series S
The Xbox Store lists GTA 6 as optimized for Xbox Series X|S, and only those consoles appear under supported devices. That means the cheaper Series S is supported at launch. Rockstar hasn't published separate performance targets for Series X versus Series S.
Is GTA 6 on PC?
Not at launch. Rockstar has not announced a PC version or a PC release date. In a May 2026 interview, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said Rockstar has historically started on console because it wants to serve its core audience first. Outlets read that as a hint a PC version could come later, but it is not an announcement, and there is no confirmed date.
History, not a prediction
Rockstar has released console versions first before. Grand Theft Auto V launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013, then on PS4 and Xbox One in November 2014, and on PC in April 2015, after its PC date slipped more than once. That pattern is useful background, but it tells you nothing certain about GTA 6. Rockstar may follow a different schedule, or none at all. Until Rockstar posts an announcement, any PC release date you see is a guess.
PS4 and Xbox One
GTA 6 is not coming to last-generation consoles as far as anything announced goes. Both official store listings show only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. If you own a PS4 or Xbox One, you'll need a current-generation console to play at launch.
Mobile and Switch 2
No mobile or Nintendo Switch 2 version has been announced. Be careful with apps, APKs or store pages claiming to offer "GTA 6 mobile". They are not from Rockstar, and downloading them can put your device and accounts at risk.
